ICPMA Virtual Summit 2021

THE NEXT NORMAL IN QUALITY, SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY

We are proud of the active contribution of two of our colleagues, Arnd Wittchen and Hargeet Kaur, to the Virtual Summit 2021 organized by ICPMA and Build Quotient on the topic "Advancing the Construction Industry to the next normal".

In his speech, Arnd Wittchen - former president of ICPMA - contributed his view and position on the need to consider sustainability in construction projects as a social responsibility. The main topic was how sustainable concepts can be technically integrated and implemented by changing working methods, mindsets and beliefs in the planning of projects and subordinating them to the goal of CO2 neutrality as well as working on contemporary requirements for user comfort.

Hargeet Kaur - co-organizer of this event and representative of ICPMA's youth organization YICPMA - gave a presentation on how to break the Maze of Unproductivity in the construction industry by implementing Lean Principles and BIM functionalities in construction projects.

The Summit was held over four consecutive Saturdays, from January 16 to February 6, 2021. Summit speakers and attendees hail from the Philippines, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Ireland, Finland, India, and Spain, among others.
